NZ International Comedy Festival 2009
The 17th NZ International Comedy Festival in Wellington is set to make you giggle for three weeks straight, from 1-24 May 2009.
The NZ International Comedy Festival is back and it's so hot it's on fire! With standup, sketch, kids comedy, theatre, improv, physical and musical comedy, the 2009 Festival features hundreds of comedians across more than a hundred shows nationwide so there is definitely a laugh for everyone.

Te Papa - Monet and the Impressionists
Monet and the Impressionists is the largest and richest collection of Impressionist paintings ever to come to New Zealand.
This is a rare chance to see over 50 paintings from one of the world's finest collections of 19th-century French painting, held by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Twenty-seven stunning paintings by Claude Monet – including works from his Water Lily, Haystacks, and Rouen Cathedral series – are displayed alongside Impressionist masterpieces by Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Pissarro and others.

Colossal Squid ExhibitionThe only colossal squid exhibit in the world is now open to the public. The 495 kilogram, 4.2 metre female colossal squid (Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni), the most massive invertebrate ever examined, will be on display at Te Papa for three years.
The colossal squid was defrosted and dissected at Te Papa earlier this year.
