How to Find Us
Driving from the North
- Stay on State Highway 1, and follow it through the "Terrace Tunnel", which ends on Vivian Street.
- Go through three sets of lights on Vivian St.
- Just after passing through the third set of lights (Cuba/Vivian St) turn into Dunlop Tce on your right
- You've arrived!
From Wellington International Airport
Driving
- Head north from the airport, following the signs to the city.
- After going through Mt Victoria tunnel, go around the Basin Reserve and take the "City Centre" exit onto Buckle Street.
- Continue on the new bypass through 2 sets of traffic lights (Buckle St leads on to Karo Drive)
- At the third set of traffic lights turn right onto Cuba St.
- Continue up Cuba St to the first set of lights and turn right onto Vivian St
- Turn in to Dunlop Terrace (the very next street on your right), and you've arrived!
Public Transport
Taxis and shuttles leave directly from outside the terminal. Approx. cost is $25 Taxi and $15 for 1 person in Shuttle ($5 for each person thereafter).
Orange Airport Flyer Bus
Operates from the Airport to Upper Hutt approx. every half hour. Nearest bus stop to us is Dixon St. We are 3 blocks south (toward bucket fountain). Price from Airport to Dixon St is $4.50 per person.
Driving from the Interislander Terminal
- Exit terminal via City route, follow Quay approximately 1km to Taranaki St.
- Turn right into Taranaki Street
- At the fifth set of traffic lights, turn right into Karo Drive.
- At the next set of traffic lights turn right onto Cuba St.
- Continue up Cuba St to the first set of lights and turn right onto Vivian St
- Turn in to Dunlop Terrace (the very next street on your right), and you've arrived!
The Interislander Bus meets each ferry sailing and transports free to railway station. Taxi from the train station is approx. $15. |
